Greetings Boca parents!
I hope everyone hanging in there after this long week of rainy, dreary weather. It feels more like August than September, no? This month officially kicks off fall events season and our annual roundup is live and being regularly updated with listings that you can add to your family calendar. North Park (in the Boca Teeca neighborhood) has Boca Raton's newest recreational offering for families: a Traffic Garden! I attended the ribbon cutting last week and wrote all about what's currently there and what's to come on BocaMag.com. If you’ve never heard of a “traffic garden,” you’re probably not alone. These unique, scaled-down street networks for children to practice biking and road safety are popping up all over the country. The North Park Traffic Garden is completely free to use (no motorized bikes, boards or vehicles allowed), there’s plenty of parking and I have a feeling it will become
even more popular when the weather cools off.
STEAM through September city-wide scavenger hunt is happening all month! Children (ages 5-12) are invited to explore the (S)cience, (T)echnology, (E)ngineering, (A)rt and (M)ath programs offered across the city. This joint event celebrates the amazing programs and exhibits at the Children’s Science Explorium, the Boca Raton Public
Libraries and Gumbo Limbo Nature Center. Be sure to get your free passport ASAP (available online this year!).
Our
Fall Mommy & Me schedule and registration is LIVE! Due to the outdoor nature of our program, we're starting classes in October this year at Grandview Preparatory School. With so many
holidays to celebrate, you won't want to miss out on the fun if you have a baby or toddler!
Have a great weekend!
xoxo,
